State Bridge Crossing Students Make Gifts for City of Refuge

State Bridge Crossing students complete service projects during winter parties.

The true spirit of giving during the holiday season was in full swing at State Bridge Crossing Elementary. Students in Mrs. Haggerty's 4th grade class and Ms. Waldorf's 2nd grade class chose to do service projects for their winter parties in December.Β

Giant fleece blankets were made during the party by the students and parent volunteers. Thanks to generous donations from the families in both classes, the students also made dozens of toiletry bags and holiday cards and collected several bins of men's shoes for those in need. All donations were taken to the City of Refuge in downtown Atlanta.
