Woodward North Student Gives Locks of Love

Woodward North kindergartener donates hair.

Karissa, a kindergartener at Woodward North, recently had her very first haircut at the age of 5 1/2. Karissa took a special interest in Locks of Love and decided to grow her hair until it reached 13 1/4 inches in length; long enough to donate.

Locks of Love is a public nonprofit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada who are suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis.
