Johns Creek Student Wins $40,000 Scholarship

Eric Beeler will receive $10,000 a year for up to four years

Eric Beeler of Johns Creek is among 20 students awarded the GE Reagan Foundation Scholarship from the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and GE.

This scholarship program, which just completed its third year, awards students who embody the vision and values personified by President Reagan, including leadership, drive, integrity and citizenship, says a press release from the foundation. Each winner will receive $10,000 a year, for up to four years, for tuition, room and board.

Beeler is a member of the Governor’s Commission on Teen Driving and was sworn in by Gov. Nathan Deal. As senior class president, he coordinated Senior Service Day, during which some 350 of his peers completed a total of 1,750 community service hours.
