Hooch Swimmers Sign With Universities

Chattahoochee High School's Samantha Kase has signed a National Letter of Intent to swim NCAA Division 1 at Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jackets are a part of the ACC. Kase has been a varsity letterman as well as a State qualifier since her freshman year and is serving as a team captain her senior year.
 
Kase is an NCSA Junior National qualifier in the 100m and 200m fly. She finished fourth at the Southeastern Speedo Sectional Championship in the 200m fly in July. Kase swims year-round for Dynamo Swim Club as part of the National group under Coach Rich Murphy. She is an honor roll student and is planning on majoring in either environmental studies or business.

Chattahoochee High School’s Alan Rabstejnek has signed a National Letter of Intent to swim for Auburn University in the fall. Auburn is a NCAA Division 1 school and a member of the Southeastern Conference. Additionally, the men’s swim team is the reigning SEC champion, winning the past 16 SEC championships.  

Rabstejnek has been a varsity letterman in swimming for the past four years, and this year he serves as a team captain. He has competed for Chattahoochee in every high school swimming state championship since his freshman year, where he has never failed to make the A final in the 100-yard breaststroke. Currently, he holds Chattahoochee High School records in the 100-yard breaststroke and the 200 medley relay, a relay that won gold at the 2011 Georgia AAAA State Championship.

He was named an All-American his sophomore year, and he is a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American. He is a Junior National finalist and a National qualifier who swims year round for Dynamo Swim Club under Coach Rich Murphy.
