Hooch's Corrigan Signs for Volleyball

Emily Corrigan has committed to play volleyball at Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C., an NCAA Division I school that competes in the Southern Conference (SoCon).

Corrigan, a four-year varsity starter, was captain in 2010 and 2011. The Cougars were state finalists in 2010 and semi-finalists in 2011 as well as the region winner in 2010 and 2011.

Corrigan was named to the All Region and All State teams in 2010 and 2011 and was voted to the Georgia Senior All-Star team in 2011. She has been involved with class council for four years, FCA leadership for three years and an honor roll student for four years at Chattahoochee. She played club volleyball for A5 Volleyball club, where she was captain for four years. Her team medaled three times in the open level at the Junior Olympics and was ranked No. 1 in the country during the 2011 season. Corrigan was named to the Senior Aces Top 250 in the country by Prepvolleyball.com and was named to the 2011-12 Under Armour All-America Watch List as well as the Watch List for the Georgia Gatorade Volleyball Player of the Year.Β
