Fulton Students Dominate State Technology Fair

Twenty-seven Fulton students place first.

Four State Bridge Crossing Elementary students — Justine Kwee, Sarah Song, Jenny Suh and Raj Srivastava — recently traveled to Macon to compete in the annual State Technology Fair. Competition was tough as the four squared off against hundreds of regional winners from all over Georgia. Jenny, Justine, Sarah and Raj represented State Bridge Crossing well — all four placed in their categories.

Justine placed second in the category of Animated Graphic Design, Jenny and Sarah placed second in Project Programming, and Raj placed third in Robotics.

Additionally, a total of 27 Fulton County students overall, representing 22 award-winning projects, won first-place awards at the fair held March 12.

More than 25 percent of the competition’s first-place prizes (22 projects out of 71) were awarded to Fulton County students. No other school system had as many first-place projects or students winning the top prizes, and in total, nearly 60 Fulton County students placed first, second or third in the competition.
