Self-Defense Class for Teen Girls

The Friends of Ocee Library is sponsoring a Just Yell Fire self-defense class for teen girls.  This class will teach middle and high school girls about the dangers they face from strangers, acquaintances and dating partners.  Girls will learn how to be "street smart" by modifying their behavior to stay safer and recognizing dangerous situations and people.  Girls will also learn and practice simple, effective self-defense techniques that will allow them to injure and escape a much larger, stronger attacker. Each participant will receive a take home resource packet full of safety tips and advice, and a downloadable copy of the Just Yell Fire training video.  Moms are welcome to attend this class with their daughters. This class is free to participants, but advance registration is required.  Register at http://www.revvedupkids.com/class_details/class_details_ocee_library_062112.htm
