As October is Cancer Awareness Month, students at Dolvin Elementary recently made a “Caring Tree” in honor or memory of friends and loved ones who have been affected by cancer. The students placed “leaves” on the tree with messages of hope. Pictured are students in 4th and 5th grade who are involved with Dolvin’s community service club, Kids Care. In November, the neighborhoods of Dolvin Elementary School will hold “Lemonade Wars” with the proceeds going to Rally for Childhood Cancer Research.
