Creekview Defeats Chattahoochee 8-5

Cougars lose Region 7AAAA baseball contest.

On Saturday, the Chattahoochee Cougar baseball team hosted the Creekview Grizzlies in a Region 7AAAA matchup.

The Cougars jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first inning on a two run homer by designated hitter Wes Armstrong. Chattahoochee added another run in their half of the second inning to take a 3-0 lead over the Grizzlies.

Creekview bats came alive in the third inning allowing the Grizzlies to pull back to within one run at 3-2.

Creekview went on to score in each of the remaining innings of the game; adding one run in the fourth, one run in the fifth, two runs in the sixth, and two more in the seventh.

After the second inning, Chattahoochee went scoreless until they managed to score twice in the bottom of the seventh inning. But it was too little, too late for the Cougars as they were defeated by Creekview with a final score of 8-5.

The loss puts Chattahoochee at 9-7 on the season and 7-4 in Region 7AAAA. Creekview is now 13-6 overall and 11-2 in the region.
