Chattahoochee, Northview Students Earn National Merit Scholarships

Corporate-sponsored and Achievement Scholarships announced.

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) recently announced the winners of some of its scholarships. Two students from Chattahoochee and two from Northview are among 1,000 students taking home the corporate-based scholarships. Corporate sponsors award the scholarships to students who are children of their employees or residents of their communities or who plan to pursue majors or careers encouraged by the company.

Students from Johns Creek in this category include: 

  • Meghna Mahadevan, Chattahoochee High School. Probable career field: industrial engineering. Sponsor: Solvay.
  • Shreya Seth, Chattahoochee High School. Probable career field: finance. Sponsor: James E. Casey.
  • Amit Pujari, Northview High School. Probable career field: chemical/biomolecular engineering. Sponsor: Aon Corp.
  • Shuo Qian, Northview High School. Probable career field: finance. Sponsor: Novartis.

The NMSC also announced that a Northview student is among some 800 outstanding Black American high school seniors who have won Achievement Scholarship Awards:
