Chattahoochee Grad Completes Basic Training

Air Force Airman 1st Class Robert C. Kingsley graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Kingsley earned distinction as an honor graduate.

He is the son of Mary Kingsley of Partnership Road, Poolesville, Md., and grandson of Robert Jernigan of Kingsport, Tenn.

The airman is a 2007 graduate of Chattahoochee High School in Johns Creek. He earned a bachelor's degree in 2011 from Hampshire College, Amherst, Mass.
