Ms. Williamson's second grade class at participated in Northside Hospital’s first annual Student Celebration of Lights. The Celebration of Lights is a fundraiser that helps celebrate or remember a loved one diagnosed with cancer by purchasing a “light,” which helps fund screenings for early detection and treatment at the hospital. All proceeds go directly to the Cancer Care Program via the Northside Hospital Foundation. The State Bridge class raised $217 toward the fundraiser and earned an opportunity to put a pie in Ms. Williamson's face.
