Johns Creek Ranks 6th Best Place for Homeowners

NerdWallet ranks Johns Creek as the 6th best city to live in Georgia for homeowners.

Johns Creek has been dubbed the sixth best place for homeowners in the state of Georgia.

That's according to an analysis done by NerdWallet, which examined 68 cities with populations exceeding 15,000 to determine if they had characteristics that were most favorable to home buyers.

In its analysis, NerdWallet reviewed if homes were available in the area, if residents could afford to live in that particular city and if the city is growing.

NerdWallet notes Johns Creek is home to the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra, six golf courses and is close to the Chattahoochee River. It also notes the city's homeowners spend on average 25 percent of their income on home owner-related expenses.

Nearby, Woodstock scored 4th, Milton ranked 8th, Acworth came in at 11th, Kennesaw ranked 13th, Canton clocked in at 16th and Alpharetta came in at 20th.
