What's Closed in Johns Creek on MLK Day?

We've compiled a list of closings in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday.

All federal, state and local government offices as well as banks will be closed on Monday, Jan. 21, in honor of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

The holiday marks the birthday of the famed civil rights leader. King’s actual birthday is on Jan. 15, but the third Monday of January was designated as the official holiday in 1983.

The City of Johns Creek and Fulton County offices will be closed for the holiday.

The Fulton County Tax Commissioners' offices will also be closed on Monday for the holiday as well as branches of the Atlanta-Fulton County Library System

Fulton County School District offices and schools will be closed.

Johns Creek residents who utilize Waste Management for residential waste disposal services should know the company will not pick up trash on Monday. Services will resume on Tuesday and will run one day behind through the rest of the week.

United States Post Offices will also be closed on Monday and mail will not be delivered.

City and county offices, schools, banks and all post offices will resume regular operating hours on Tuesday and regular mail delivery will resume on that day.
