Road Construction to Tie Up North Point/Old Milton Traffic

Crews will close northbound and southbound lanes today and Friday morning to work on the intersection.

Johns Creek commuters will want to avoid the intersection of North Point Parkway and Old Milton Parkway today and Friday morning - or you'll be caught in significant traffic delays.

Construction crews for the Georgia Department of Transportation will close one northbound and one southbound lane on North Point Parkway today and Friday, May 24 to work on an intersection improvement project.Β  The lane closures will be in effect from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Thursday and between 9 a.m. and noon on Friday, according to a news release from the city of Alpharetta.

Motorists are strongly urged to avoid the intersection and choose alternate routes if possible.Β  Alternative routes include the use of GA 400 or Westside Parkway for north/south commuters.Β  Commuters traveling east/west should consider using Mansell Road, Windward Parkway, or Holcomb Bridge Road.
