Raffensperger Wins City Council Seat in Runoff

Brad Raffensperger defeats Steve Broadbent by 285 votes.

was the victor Tuesday night in a runoff for the Johns Creek City Council Post 2 seat being vacated by Dan McCabe at the end of his term.

Raffensperger claimed 54 percent, or 1,740 votes, while opponent garnered 45 percent, or 1,455 ballots.

The runoff became necessary when neither candidate won the majority on Nov. 8. In that election, Raffensperger was also ahead, with 42 percent, or 3,062 votes. Broadbent had 38 percent, or 2,759. claimed 18 percent, or 1,298 votes.
