Proposed Subdivision To Come Before Johns Creek Council

Lennar Georgia, Inc. wants to build a 70-unit detached single family subdivision on Old Alabama Road near the Chattahoochee River.

The Johns Creek City Council on Monday will consider a request roughly 57 acres to accommodate a new subdivision during its meeting tonight.

The meeting starts at 7 p.m. at Johns Creek City Hall. The meeting will be preceded by a work session, which gets underway at 5 p.m.

Lennar Georgia, Inc. is petitioning the city to rezone 57.66 acres in the 5100 block of Old Alabama Road from Community Unit Plan Conditional to CUP to allow a 70-unit single family detached subdivision. The site is located on the south side of Old Alabama Road between South River Farm Drive and Waits Ferry Crossing. 

The council is also consider approving a contract with Wolverton & Associates for the design of proposed improvements along Abbotts Bridge Road/S.R. 120 between Parsons Road (west) and Medlock Bridge Road/S.R. 141.

The contract amount is set for $650,000; $400,000 will be funded with federal dollars and the remaining will be put up as a local match.
