During its regular meeting, the council approved an amendment to its sign ordinance that incorporates a fall zone into all districts. City staff drafted this amendment after the Supreme Court ruled in favor of erecting billboards in Johns Creek. This amendment will limit what a business can do with its property once a billboard is built.

It also approved nearly $200,000 in improvements to Shakerag Park that include a stairwell to the Blackstone subdivision, a fishing pier, a pond aerator, a restroom/concession/storage building and multi-use trails. These projects follow the city council in May approving improvements to the park's athletic fields.
