Patch Is Collecting Questions for Obama and Romney During the Next Presidential Debate

If you have a question for the candidates, submit it in the comments section below and it could be asked during the televised Oct. 16 Town Hall Presidential Debate.

If last Wednesday’s presidential debate left you with more questions than answers, here’s your chance for the presidential candidates to address the issues that most matter to you.

The next presidential debate will be a town hall meeting format at Hofstra University in Long Island, where voters will ask President Obama and Mitt Romney about domestic and foreign policy.

Johns Creek Patch is asking you, our readers, to participate by submitting questions for the candidates.

All you have to do is post your question in the comments section below and we’ll send it to the Commission on Presidential Debates. The Commission is partnering with Patch's parent company Aol, along with Google and Yahoo, to take questions from web users across the country.

Don’t wait until Nov. 6 to have a say in this year’s election. Share your thoughts in the comments!

To Obama: During your 2008 Presidential campaign you said President Bush was irresponsible & unpatriotic for accumulating nearly $4 trillion dollars of national debt during his 8 year term and you pledged to cut the deficit in half by the end of your first term in office, yet you have done the opposite. In fact you have accumulated more national debt during your first term than the previous 43 Presidents before you combined and now our national debt stands at $16 trillion (and increasing). This accounts for over $50K of debt for every man, woman & child in the USA. 1) How do you justify this broken promise? 2) How do you justify another spending stimulus under these conditions?

To either candidate: The illegal immigrant situation is placing an increasing burden on all tax paying Americans, with medical care, education, criminal incarceration, etc. How do you plan to either return the illegals to their home country or incorporate them into our society where they become responsible for paying their own way?

To Romney: Can you explain to the American public (and VP Biden) how you can lower tax rates (for all) and expand the revenue base, thus increase revenues to the Federal Government?
