New Signals Installed at Medlock Crossing and 141

In an effort to reduce the number of traffic accidents at the intersection, the city of Johns Creek this week installed new signals at Medlock Bridge (141) and Medlock Crossing Parkway.

Public Works crews installed new left turn signals at all left turn lanes:

  • Green arrow: Motorist has a dedicated left turn signal and oncoming traffic must stop.
  • Flashing yellow arrow: It’s safe to turn if the way is clear, giving motorists some discretion about when to turn. However, the flashing yellow arrow will be turned off during times of heavy traffic, such as afternoon rush hour when overwhelming majority of the accidents occur at Medlock Bridge Road at Medlock Crossing Parkway.
  • Yellow arrow: Motorist must clear the intersection.
  • Red arrow: No turn is allowed.
