Johns Creek Wants To Help You Get In Shape

Yoga, pilates, Zumba and Tai Chi classes will be offered in May and June at the Newtown Community Clubhouse.

The city of Johns Creek is offering a way to help its residents keep their New Year's resolutions to lose weight and get in shape.

Yoga, pilates, Zumba and Tai Chi classes will soon be offered through the Johns Creek Clubhouse Fitness program. Registration on begins on Monday, March 31 and will run through April 25.

Classes will be taught during the months of May and June.

Johns Creek's Recreation and Parks Department offers evening sessions for Yoga/Pilates Fusion classes on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. and Pilates Mat class on Mondays at 4 p.m. and Wednesdays at 5 p.m.

Classes, which are 60 to 75 minutes long, will meet once a week for seven to eight weeks starting May 5. Session costs $44 to $50 for residents and $66 to $75 for non-residents. All fitness levels are welcome.

All classes will be taught by certified instructors and are held at the Newtown Community Clubhouse at Newtown Park, located at 3115 Old Alabama Road. 

Participants must be at least 16 years old.
