Dunwoody City Manager Warren Hutmacher was unanimously appointed to serve as the new city manager for Johns Creek.

The city of Johns Creek has announced its new city manager.

Warren A. Hutmacher was appointed to the role in an unanimous vote by the Johns Creek City Council during its meeting on Monday, according to NorthFulton.com.

Hutmacher, the current city manager of Dunwoody, is slated to start his role on April 28. His salary will be $183,000 per year, plus bonuses.

Hutmacher takes over after former City Manager John Kachmar resigned his post earlier this month.

He earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Delaware in 1995 and a master's degree in public administration from Ohio State University in 1997. He and wife Emily have two children.

Before he was tapped to serve as Dunwoody's first city manager in 2008, Hutmacher served as the city manager for Norcross and Avondale Estates.
