Fulton County Manager Zachary Williams Resigns

Williams has accepted a job with DeKalb County.

At the Dec. 5 meeting of the Fulton County Board of Commissioners, Chairman John Eaves announced that the board has accepted the resignation of County Manager Zachary L. Williams.

Williams, who joined Fulton County in 2008, has accepted a position as Executive Assistant/Chief Operating Officer for neighboring DeKalb County.

“Zach Williams has been a tremendous asset to Fulton County in his years of service here and we wish him well as he moves on to new opportunities in our sister county of DeKalb,” said Eaves.

County Attorney David Ware will serve as Interim County Manager for 60-days, effective Jan. 1.
