Construction Resumes on Old Milton-North Point Intersection

GDOT is adding turn lanes to improve traffic flow at the heavily traveled route, the junction of two of the few routes connecting east-west and north-south travel.

Contractors for the GA Department of Transportation (GDOT) resumed construction on intersection improvements at Old Milton Parkway and North Point Parkway last night, Monday, May 13.

Construction activity will continue to take place between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m., Monday through Friday until the project is completed. GDOT says that the current completion target is December 2013, according to a release from the city of Alpharetta.

During construction motorists should anticipate periodic lane closures and shifts in and around the intersection.
