City Reveals Plans for Abbotts Bridge Road Improvements

Improvements to the Johns Creek road include adding a center turn-lane, bikeable shoulders, and enhanced sidewalks on the north side of the road from Abbotts Elementary School to Ocee Library.

Next year work will begin on some much needed improvements to a section of Abbotts Bridge Road.

The City of Johns Creek has organized an open house for residents to attend and learn about the proposed improvements Jan. 30 at the Ocee Library.

Planned improvements for Abbotts Bridge include adding a center turn-lane, bikeable shoulders, and enhanced sidewalks on the north side of the road from Abbotts Elementary School to Ocee Library.

The project will run between Jones Bridge and Parsons roads west of Medlock Bridge Road.

Johns Creek Public Works Department Staff members will be on hand to explain displays, discuss the improvements and answer questions during the open house, scheduled for 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Construction of the project is set to start in 2015.
