City Leaders Seeking Input Via Online Survey

Johns Creek residents, business owners and operators are invited to take the survey which is open until Monday, Sept. 23, 2013.

As part of its current branding initiative, the City of Johns Creek is asking for input from its residents and businesses through a confidential, online Community Survey, available through the city’s website at JohnsCreekGA.gov.

“We have partnered with North Star Destination Strategies, an industry leader known throughout the U.S. for its ability to generate positive economic development through community branding,” said Senior Communications Manager Rosemary Taylor.

After several months of research, which included visits to Johns Creek from the Nashville-based firm to conduct interviews and focus groups, North Star developed the customized survey to help determine the city’s strengths, weaknesses, challenges and opportunities.

“At the heart of Johns Creek’s brand will be its competitive differentiator – in other words, what makes the community special so it can stand out in the marketplace,” said North Star CEO Don McEachern.  “And one of the best places to find that figurative nugget of marketing gold is in the hearts and minds of the people who call Johns Creek home.”

The City’s branding initiative is being conducted in conjunction with the Johns Creek Convention & Visitors Bureau, Johns Creek Advantage (its new economic development corporation) and the Johns Creek Chamber of Commerce to market the city to new businesses, visitors and residents.

“We hope that everyone takes a few minutes to complete the survey before the Sept. 23 deadline.  We can’t emphasize enough the importance of insights gleaned from our community,” Taylor said.
