City Honors Student for Wildlife Designation

Malcolm Barnard recognized for spearheading effort to designate Johns Creek a wildlife habitat.

The Johns Creek City Council on Monday recognized Malcolm Barnard, a student at Johns Creek High School, for his work in getting the by the National Wildlife Federation.

BarnardΒ  since he attended Autrey Mill Middle School, along with his Wildlife Habitat team.

Johns Creek is only the second city in Georgia to receive the designation, and the first in North Fulton. So far, more than 200 homes, all of Johns Creek's schools and various community sites have earned the designation.
