City Council OKs Three Signs for Willow Run

Neighborhood requested signage for each of its three entrances; city ordinance had only allowed for one.

City code had restricted the subdivision to only one sign, but the neighborhood requested to be allowed signs at all three entrances on Jones Bridge Road. The sites are located on lots owned by individual residences and had already been approved as walls, but the applicant requested to add signage.

The council also unanimously approved a resolution allowing for portions of Bell and Boles roads to be designated as temporary state routes. That moves allows the city to use federal funds to construct a roundabout at the intersection of the two roads. The Georgia DOT stipulates that road projects receiving federal funding be designated temporarily as state routes.
