Applications for Founders Parade Due Nov. 16

Johns Creek's annual parade takes place Dec. 1.

Want to celebrate the formation of Johns Creek and participate in the city's annual Founders Day Parade on Dec. 1? Applications are due Nov. 16 and can be emailed to Elizabeth.Warren@JohnsCreekGA.gov, faxed to 678-512-3244 or dropped off at City Hall at 12000 Findley Road.

According to the city of Johns Creek's website, floats should follow a "Traveling thru the Creek" theme and may incorporate cars, trucks, boats, golf carts and/or roller skates. Note that the only Santa allowed is the one riding in a fire truck at the end.

The parade is preceded by a week of activities that celebrate Johns Creek's founding in 2006, including the lighting of a Christmas tree and dreidel, a kid's holiday crafts workshop, book readings at schools by city officials and a holiday workshop at Emory Johns Creek Hospital.
