Abbotts Bridge Road To Get Center Turn Lanes, Other Improvements
The section of Hwy. 120 between Jones Bridge and Parsons roads west of Medlock is slated for upgrades. Residents can review the plans at an open house Monday night at Ocee Library.
Johns Creek residents who regularly travel the busy Abbotts Bridge Road will undoubtedly be pleased to hear the news that some much needed upgrades are planned for a portion of the busy corridor also known as Hwy. 120.
Targeted for improvement is the section between Jones Bridge and Parsons roads west of Medlock.
The improvements include the addition of a center turn lane and shoulders that can be used by cyclists. Also planned are "enhanced sidewalks on the north side of the road from Abbotts Elementary School to Ocee Library," according to an announcement on the city's website.

Work is slated to begin in 2015, but residents can get a look at the plans in an open house Monday, Dec. 30, at the Ocee Library between 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.
The city's Public Works Department staff will be available to answer questions and discuss the planned improvements.
