St. Paddy's Day DUIs, Car Break-Ins in Newtown Park Area

Here's a sampling of arrests and incidents recently reported by Johns Creek police. None of the persons named has been convicted of a crime.

DUIs:

Amanda Young Williams, 35, of Macon was arrested for DUI on March 12 on State Bridge Road at Twingate Drive.

Aldo Alberto Lopez-Bernal, 23, of Gillsville was arrested for DUI on March 13 on Medlock Bridge Road at Medlock Parkway.

Jared M. Moyes, 29, of Johns Creek was arrested for DUI on March 17 on Jones Bridge Road at Waters Road.

Paul Michael Shane, 62, of Duluth was arrested for DUI on March 18 on Old Alabama Road at Autry Falls Way.

Drugs:

Davis Mark Dawson, 21, of Johns Creek was arrested for marijuana possession less than an ounce on March 12 on Medlock Bridge Road at Parsons Road.

Aedam Smith, 31, of Duluth was cited for marijuana possession less than an ounce on March 13 on Medlock Bridge Road at Abbotts Bridge Road.Β 

Deron Glenn McDonald, 44, of Alpharetta was arrested for marijuana possession less than an ounce on March 19 on State Bridge Road at Brookshire Lake Drive.

Burglaries:

On March 5 a resident on Windview Place reported three computers and a Nintendo video game unit taken from his home. There was no forced entry, but the home's residents stated that the back door did not always lock securely.

On March 9 a resident on State Bridge Road reported his camera taken from his garage. He said he no longer lives in the apartment but was storing some of his belongings in the garage.

On March 11 a resident on Ivey Oaks Lane reported his home broken into. The home is for sale, and the lock box on the front door was gone. An LCD TV, a Wii console and video games were taken.

Shoplifting:

On March 14 a woman was arrested at the State Bridge Road Kroger for taking $399.86 in groceries without paying for them.

Car Break-Ins:

On March 6 a resident on Mortons Circle reported her passenger window shattered and her GPS unit taken.

On March 18 a victim stated that her car parked at Mount Pisgah Christian SchoolΒ on the Brumbelow Road campus had a rear window knocked out and her Coach wallet, valued at $100 and containing credit cards and cash, taken. Another victim reported her car, also parked in the front parking lot, was broken into via a rear window and her leather purse, valued at $60 and containing $420 cash, gift cards and credit cards, taken.

On March 18 a victim stated that car was broken into while parked at Newtown Park. She stated that a rear window was smashed and her purse containing a debit card was taken.
