Report: Missing Peachtree Corners Girl Found Safe

Report: 12-year-old girl was found by a neighbor around 11 p.m.

Fox5Atlanta reported that Kelsie Lee was found safe by a neighbor around 11 p.m.

Gwinnett Police have halted their search for the evening for a missing Peachtree Corners girl who disappeared Monday morning, March 10 around 8:45 a.m..

Kelsie Lee, 12, was last seen taking the trash out but she didn't return home. Gwinnett Police reportedly told WSB-TV, it does not think foul play is involved in the disappearance.

News of Kelsie's disappearance drew concern and action in Peachtree Corners Monday morning, first reported when a Peachtree Corners Patch reader emailed the alert. Joyce Bone, who jogs in the Jones Bridge Circle area, emailed:

"At 8:45am [Monday, March 10] on Jones Bridge Circle, Kelsie Lee went missing. She is 12 years old with long dark blond hair. She came outside to dump kitty litter and never returned. She had on jeans and a gold & black sweater. Police have been dispatched. If you saw anything this morning that may be helpful, please message me. Share this post via social media, email, etc."

Residents also helped canvass the area for the girl and shared offers of help all day on Peachtree Patch's Facebook page.

Gwinnett Police issued a statement at 12:15 p.m.:

The Gwinnett County Police Department is currently investigating the disappearance of a 12 year old female from the 4600 block of Jones Bridge Circle in the City of Peachtree Corners within Gwinnett County.

The mother of 12 year old Kelsie Lee discovered her daughter missing from home this morning at 8:45am. The mother learned from another sibling, that Kelsie walked outside to take out the trash and never returned. Kelsie is described as; 100 lbs., 5’-02”, long light brown curly hair. She was last seen wearing jeans, long black sweater with a western motif.

Anyone with information on the location of Kelsie is urged to contact the Gwinnett County Police Department at 770-513-5300 or 911.

A neighbor later saw the girl walking, asked her if she was Kelsie, then drove her home, where she was reunited with her parents, :3

Thankful she was found safe. our women's group prayed rosary for her safe return last night. All are grateful she is okay.
