Police Report 89 Arrests, 28 Auto Break-Ins, 20 DUIs, 9 Burglaries

Police reported 166 traffic accidents in December. Find out where the worst intersections for collisions are in Johns Creek.

Each month the Johns Creek Police Department releases crime and incident statistics from the previous month in its newsletter Cops Connect.

Here are the December 2013 numbers:

Total calls for service - 6,672
Total arrests - 89
Total car break-ins - 28
Total burglaries - 9
DUIs - 20
Traffic accidents - 166

Top 5 intersections for accidents:

2. Medlock Bridge & Abbotts Bridge (5) 
3. Jones Bridge & State Bridge (4) 
4. Jones Bridge & Addison Way (3) 
5. Jones Bridge & Old Alabama (3)

Most accidents were caused by following too closely and occurred on Friday evenings (4-6 p.m.) in clear weather. 19% reported injuries; there were no fatalities.

Burglaries (9):  State Bridge Road, Keswick Way, Bristol Trace, Farm Brook Lane, Fairview Bluff, Brumbelow Road, Colony Club Drive, Rivermont Parkway, and Bristol Trail.

Car break-ins (28):
  State Bridge Road (6), Old Alabama Road (5), Hampstead Way, Johns Creek Parkway, Coventry Lane, Wilson Road, Jones Bridge Road, Oak Landing Drive (2), Lakefield Drive, Buice Road, Jupiter Hills Pointe, Douglas Road, Aviary Drive, Parsons Bridge, S. Falcon Bluff, Colony Ridge Drive, Hospital Parkway, and Fairview Bluff.
