Johns Creek Police Department releases June crime and accident statistics.

Each month the Johns Creek Police Department releases crime and incident statistics from the previous month in its newsletter Cops Connect.

Here are June's numbers as published in the newsletter:

Service calls: 6,395

Arrests: 100

Car break-ins: 9

Burglaries: 11

DUIs: 15

Traffic accidents: 150

The burglaries occurred at Concord Hall, Medlock Bridge, Abberly Towneship, 5950 State Bridge, 9700 Medlock Bridge (2), 9800 Medlock Bridge, Ocee Park and 9810 Medlock Bridge.

The car break-ins occurred at The Gates at Johns Creek, 9925 Haynes Bridge Road; Rivermont Club, 10945 State Bridge Road; Thornhill, Pine Ridge, Lakehill, St. Ives Country Club, Waterford, Amberleigh and North Bridges.

According to the newsletter, the top five intersections for vehicle accidents were (1) State Bridge and Medlock Bridge, (2) Old Alabama and Medlock Bridge, (3) Medlock Bridge and Abbotts Bridge, (4) Jones Bridge and Old Alabama, and (5) Johns Creek Parkway and Lakefield Drive.

According to the police department, there was one fatality in these incidents, with 43 percent reporting injuries. Most accidents happened on Mondays at night in clear weather and were caused by following too closely.
