Car Break-In Leads to Chase, Teens' Arrest

The following information was supplied by the Johns Creek Police Department.

A 13-year-old and a 14-year-old, both Johns Creek residents, were arrested on Oct. 15 after a woman reported her car was being broken into at Century State Bridge Apartments on Caswyck Trace.

Police arrived on the scene 30 seconds after the call, and observed two males running from the area of the front gate. After a brief foot pursuit, three officers apprehended both of the males.

The victim told police that she had stepped onto her front porch and immediately noticed the two suspects in her vehicle. She said that when the two males heard her walk onto the porch, they attempted to hide behind some parked vehicles. The victim said she ran inside to get her phone and returned to see the suspects fleeing through the parking lot on foot.
