Johns Creek Police Blotter: Car Reported Stolen from Christian Brothers Parking Lot

Here's a sampling of arrests and incidents recently reported by Johns Creek police. None of the persons named have been convicted of a crime.

DUI:

Christopher Scott Harris, 21, of Alpharetta was arrested for DUI on Feb. 19 on Medlock Bridge Road.

On Feb. 15 an Alpharetta resident reported his car stolen from the parking lot of Christian Brothers Automotive on Jones Bridge Road. He stated that he had dropped his car off for repair work on Feb. 5. He then received a call that his car was ready to be picked up on Feb. 9. The victim stated that he was too busy to pick the car up then and requested that an employee leave the vehicle unlocked with the keys placed underneath a floor mat. The victim state that he drove to the repair shop on Feb. 14 to pick his car up and did not see it in the parking lot. The shop's manager told the victim he had last seen the car on Feb. 10 when he left work. When he came back to work the next day he did not see the care and assumed the victim had picked the car up.Β

An Alpharetta resident reported his Enterprise rental vehicle broken into in the parking lot of Kroger at 10945 State Bridge Road and $450 taken. The door handle and lock were damaged. The victim stated that Kroger security footage shows the incident in the background.

Thefts:

On Feb. 14 a Duluth resident reported her purse stolen at Spruill Oaks Library. The victim stated that she had left it hanging on the back of her chair or in the restroom. She canceled her credit cards before they could be used.Β 

On Feb. 16 an employee at Karen's Fabrics on Old Alabama Road reported her supervisor's wallet stolen out of her purse that was in her office. The victim was on the phone with her credit card company and was alerted that one of her credit cards was just used at Macy's at North Point Mall in Alpharetta and at a Shell station on Mansell Road. Johns Creek police asked Alpharetta police to be on the lookout for suspects the victim had described. Alpharetta police detained two suspects who were positively identified by the employee who reported the crime. The suspects were arrested and charged with burglary and financial transaction card theft.Β 

On Feb. 16 a Duluth resident reported his Apple iPhone, valued at $500, stolen at Lifetime Fitness on Johns Creek Parkway after he briefly left it on the exercise equipment while he went to the restroom.
