Johns Creek Dodges Storm Bullet

City escapes damage from last night's severe weather.

Johns Creek managed to avoid the brunt of last night's storms that brought significant damage and power outages to surrounding areas.

"No big news here," said Rosemary Taylor, the city's communications manager. "The only issue that we had related to the storm last night was one traffic signal that went into flash."

Meanwhile, multiple trees were reported down in neighboring Alpharetta and Milton with scattered power outages, while the city of Atlanta saw widespread downed trees and power outages. To the east, reported dozens of house fires and downed trees and power lines.
