JCPD Opens Station on Old Alabama Road
Department wants to be more visible in Newtown area.
The Johns Creek Police Department opened its new sub-station at 3005 Old Alabama Road on Monday.
The ribbon-cutting was the culmination of a yearlong process to address the need for a more visible police force on the south side of town in the area.
The new facility - located in the shopping center - includes a training area that is not currently included in police headquarters on Johns Creek Parkway, interview rooms at a more convenient location for officers and witnesses in that area and the JCPD's Community Services Department.
