JCPD Conducting Sobriety Checkpoints

Johns Creek Police will set up safety checks at undisclosed locations this weekend.

Fatalities from alcohol-related traffic accidents account for one in three deaths on Georgia roads each year, with Jan. 1 being one of the top five deadliest days, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

To help prevent deaths following New Year's celebrations this year, the Johns Creek Police Department plans to conduct road sobriety checkpoints at undisclosed locations from Saturday, Dec. 31, to Monday, Jan. 2.
