JCFD Offers Free Smoke Detectors, Safety Checks

City marks Fire Prevention Month with free service.

Did you know October is Fire Prevention Month? To mark the occasion, the city of Johns Creek is offering to send a fire prevention and safety expert to inspect your home for fire hazards.

This free service, available this month, includes a home inspection, a safety checklist and a free smoke detector if needed.

Call 678-474-1641 to schedule a "Smoke Detector Blitz," as the initiative is called. If you do not participate, the Johns Creek Fire Department still recommends that you check your smoke detector batteries and plan an escape plan.
