JC Fire Department Rescues Two Men from Capsized Boat

One man was transported to Emory Johns Creek Hospital as a precaution.

UPDATE: The Johns Creek Fire Department's water rescue team rescued two men from a capsized boat on the Chattahoochee River this morning, confirmed Rosemary Taylor, communications manager for the city.

The men, one in his late 50s and the other in his 20s, were in the water about 30 minutes before a driver near the intersection of Abbotts Bridge Road and Boles Road spotted them and called 911.

"[The fire department's] swift water rescue team arrived within minutes and rescued them," Taylor said, adding that the older man was transported to Emory Johns Creek Hospital as a precaution to avoid hypothermia.
