Johns Creek Police Department releases February crime and accident statistics.

Each month the Johns Creek Police Department releases crime and incident statistics from the previous month in its newsletter Cops Connect.

Here are February's numbers as published in the newsletter:

Service calls: 5,600

Arrests: 77

Car break-ins: 11

Burglaries: 10

DUIs: 9

Traffic accidents: 119

The burglaries occurred at 3340 Old Alabama, Ashley Glen, Bridgestone Farms, Camden on the River (2), Karen's Fabrics, Kingston Crossing, Medlock Crossing Shopping Center, Roswell Mill and The Pines at Kimball Bridge.

The car break-ins occurred at 1720 Medlock Bridge Road, Camden on the River, Cameron Forest, Carriage Park, Donamere, Enclave at Foxdale, Medlock Crossing Shopping Center, Oxford Mill, Preston Oaks, Rivermont Station and Saddle Brook Shopping Center.

According to the newsletter, the top five intersections for vehicle accidents were (1) Jones Bridge and State Bridge, (2) State Bridge and Medlock Bridge, (3) Medlock Bridge and Abbotts Bridge, (4) Kimball Bridge and Jones Bridge and (5) Kimball Bridge and State Bridge.

According to the police department, there were no traffic fatalities in any of these incidents, with 15 percent reporting injuries. Most accidents happened on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the day in clear weather and were caused by following too closely.
