Car Crash Leads to Cocaine Possession Arrest
On Aug. 16 a Johns Creek Police officer reported that a vehicle ran off the road and crashed into a wall on Abbotts Bridge Road at Vigneau Drive. When another officer arrived on the scene, he saw a female that he recognized earlier in the evening walking out of on Jones Bridge Road.
Once the accident scene was under control, the officer went to Jeffrey's to do a business check with two other officers and was notified that the woman involved in the crash said she was doing cocaine with a man at Jeffrey's. The officer stated in the report that the man is rumored to be a cocaine dealer.
One of the officers explained to the man why police were there and asked if he had any illegal substances on him. They also told him that the female who crashed her car said she had done cocaine with him. One of the officers found a piece of paper with cocaine in the man's wallet.
The man, a 28-year-old Johns Creek resident, was arrested and charged with felony possession of cocaine and was taken to the Fulton County Jail in Alpharetta.
Bar Fight Results in Disorderly Conduct Charge
One of the officers assisting with the above drug call heard yelling coming from the front door of Jeffrey's, and saw an "obviously intoxicated" man push another man and then punch him.
The officer pointed his taser at the man, ordered him on the ground and placed him in handcuffs. The officer stated that the man smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech and was unsteady on his feet.
The officer stated that the man became irate and attempted to spit on the officers. One of the officers then pulled the man's shirt over his head to prevent him from spitting, and the man then kicked two of the officers. Before the officers could get the man into the car to transport him to the Fulton County Jail in Alpharetta, the man urinated on himself while sitting on the sidewalk.
The man, a 22-year-old Johns Creek resident, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct.
