Child Unharmed in Early Morning Standoff

Domestic dispute ends peacefully.

A domestic dispute that resulted in a female in a Johns Creek apartment on Kingsley Circle dialing 911 ended peacefully early Tuesday morning.

According to the Johns Creek Police Department, the female called 911 at 1:40 a.m. Tuesday morning and at some point a male in the apartment allegedly grabbed a 9-year-old boy and left. He resisted giving the boy up during a standoff with North Metro SWAT near the intersection of Jones Bridge and Old Alabama roads, but never threatened to harm the child. No weapons were visible. The incident ended peacefully around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday. The suspect was transported to Fulton County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing.
