BLOTTER: Target Shoplifting; Thefts

The following information was supplied by the Johns Creek Police Department.

Shoplifting

On July 23 a Johns Creek Police officer was dispatched to on State Bridge Road on a shoplifting call. When he arrived, he met with the store's loss prevention officer who had the suspect detained. The loss prevention officer stated that the suspect was observed opening and concealing a pair of Skullcandy ear buds and then attempting to leave the store. The suspect stated that he picked up the ear buds, noticed they were already open, and decided to steal them instead of purchasing them. The suspect was charged with misdemeanor shoplifting and released. He was given a criminal trespass warning by store management and told that he would be arrested if he returned to the store.

On July 24 a vehicle parked at a business on Parsons Road was reported broken into. An external hard drive was reported stolen.

Thefts

On July 23 a customer at on Johns Creek Parkway reported his iPhone stolen.

On July 25 an employee at reported the tag stolen from his vehicle.

On July 28 a resident reported that his daughter's iPhone was stolen while the family was dining at on Douglas Road. He stated that after they left his daughter realized she did not have her phone, so they returned to the restaurant but could not find it. The resident stated that his sone began to track the phone and it showed that it was near Chattahoochee High School and then ended up near their location. The officer tracked the phone to an address, knocked on the door, but no one answered even though he said it appeared someone was inside.
