Blotter: Catalytic Converter, Laundry Quarters Stolen

The following information was supplied by the Johns Creek Police Department.

Thefts

On Nov. 7 a maintenance supervisor at Avonlea on the River Apartments on State Bridge Road told police that someone forced entry into the complex laundry room, drilled three holes into the sides of three coin mechanisms on the washing machines, and stole an undisclosed amount of quarters.

On Nov. 8 a catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle parked at State Farm Insurance on Johns Creek Parkway.

On Nov. 9 a resident reported that he was throwing football in the street near Preston Court and Preston Trail when a black male about 18 to 22 years old approached the group and asked if he could play. They agreed, and the suspect placed his backpack on the grass, close to where the victim left his Samsung Galaxy cell phone. After a few minutes, the suspect decided to leave, and reportedly picked up his back pack, looked through it, put it back down and repeated this several times. About 10 minutes later, it was discovered that the cell phone was missing after the suspect had left.Β

On Nov. 5 a vehicle was reported broken into on Wake Forrest Run. A laptop, two drill sets, an air compressor and a wallet were taken.

On Nov. 5 a vehicle was reported broken into on Magnolia Circle. A digital camera, zoom lens and cash were taken.

On Nov. 5 a vehicle on Skidaway Drive was reported broken into. An undisclosed amount of silver coins was taken.

On Nov. 7 a vehicle on Ellsborough Court was reported broken into. A GPS unit, golf clubs and a golf bag were taken.
