Autrey Mill Kid Gives Blankets to Johns Creek Fire Department

Collin Knezevich's Beta Club project helps local children.

Collin Knezevich, an eighth-grader at Autrey Mill Middle School, donated six handmade fleece blankets to the Johns Creek Fire Department on April 1 in hopes of helping local children who may be injured or displaced by fire or other types of emergencies in Johns Creek.

Knezevich met with Johns Creek Fire Chief Jeff Hogan at the department’s headquarters to deliver the blankets, which he made as part of a Junior Beta Club project. Knezevich spent more than a dozen hours making the brightly colored blankets.

“This is something we will definitely use,” Hogan said. “We appreciate Collin’s hard work on this project and the generous donation to the Johns Creek Fire Department.”
