Johns Creek Police Department releases August crime and accident statistics.

Each month the Johns Creek Police Department releases crime and incident statistics from the previous month in its newsletter Cops Connect.

Here are August's numbers as published in the newsletter:

Service calls: 6,776

Arrests: 100

Car break-ins: 25

Burglaries: 6

DUIs: 11

Traffic accidents: 150

The burglaries occurred at 9800 Medlock Bridge Road, 3005 Old Alabama Road, Addison Place Apartments, The Forest, The Estates at Wellington and The Falls at Autry Mill.

The car break-ins occurred at 11480 Lakefield Drive, Cameron Forest, Newtown Park (2), Abbotts Station, Northview High School (2), Doublegate (2), 10845 Medlock Bridge Road, Waterford, 5575 State Bridge Road, 11720 Medlock Bridge Road, 11555 Johns Creek Parkway, The Falls at Autry Mill (4), Anaheim Drive, 10185 Autry Mill Road, Chartwell (3) and 10625 Parsons Road.

According to the newsletter, the top five intersections for vehicle accidents were (1) State Bridge and Medlock Bridge, (2) Abbotts Bridge and Medlock Bridge, (3) Kimball Bridge and State Bridge, (4) Abbotts Bridge and Jones Bridge, and (5) Medlock Bridge and Old Alabama.

According to the police department, there were no fatalities in these incidents, with 22 percent reporting injuries. Most accidents happened on Tuesdays at night in clear weather and were caused by following too closely.
