Running for Office? Patch Has a Platform for You

Share your views, reach constituents or campaign for office with a Patch blog.

If you are a politician or candidate, you can use your Patch blog to announce your candidacy, promote your platform and let the community know about upcoming events and fundraisers.

Blogging on Patch is easy. Go to the Johns Creek Patch blogs page and look for the “Start your own blog” button (If you currently have a Patch blog, you’ll see an option to “Post to your blog”). If you’re not already signed into your free Patch account, you’ll be prompted to do so. Once you’re signed in, you’ll be asked to do three things:

1. Name your blog. Ex. “Elect (candidate's name here) for Mayor”

2. Describe your blog.

3. Choose a blog icon. You can choose one of Patch's available icons or upload a photo of your own.

Once you have done those three things, click "create your blog." After you've done that, you'll have the option to create your first blog post. Look for the "Add photos/videos" to add your photos (or video) to your post. Once you've picked a title, written your post and added your photos, just click the "Post now" button. Your photo blog post will immediately appear on the home page.
