Thank Goodness - The Elections Are Over...For Now

Yes this round of elections is over but had a significant impact on my feelings toward Johns City.

To me it is no longer the up and coming peaceful serene community I would tell people about when discussing “Where do you live?”.  I have seen and read things by Johns Creek citizens that I found appalling. There is mean and nasty in our own community. There is apathy in our community, having less than 3000 votes cast in this last election. There is lack of consideration of others as experienced during this campaign; the last of which occurred Monday night when I received 7 unwanted, unsolicited phone call asking for my vote, one of which beeped in on a previous call of the same type. The next election I am telling people not to call me because I am disconnecting my telephone line at the NI (network interface).

A friend of mine told me years ago that Politics and Puppets dance through their strings, and usually all an election does is restring them to a different puppeteer.
